Hands up all those who said we wouldn’t make it!!
We must confess that when we first took over our various roles in the Federation, we had serious doubts about whether we would make it.
However, despite the many problems we have encountered, we did make it, although not without one or two hiccups on the way.
Decisions were taken, often without consultation, some of which proved to be unpopular with some members, but on the whole our actions have been well received by the membership.
The transporter has been completely repaired and is now functioning as it should do and the majority of the damaged crates have been repaired and are back in service.
The new website is up and running and from the ”hits” figures, the members are beginning to used it as it should be used – to obtain all the important Federation News.
Now is the time to look back over the past few months, whilst memories are still fresh in the minds of members, to examine what went right and what needs to be changed. So, we are asking Club Secretaries to call a meeting of their members and ask the question “What do you want changing for 2025?” and let us know. We are quite willing to make changes if that is what the members want.
Previous requests for feedback have not resulted in any responses so, let’s correct that this time please.
For example, is the race programme as you really want it? Are all the Rules up to date or do they need changing? Are there any activities you would like to see during the closed season? Are there too many Special races during the season? (some of these races are not very well supported. Do you want to resurrect the Breeder/Buyer events? If we don’t know what you want, we can’t do anything about changing it, so please let us have some feedback.
As we said when we first took over our jobs – COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS – and communication is a two-way thing.
