Chinese Whispers

We had thought that the period of Chinese Whispers had come to an end for this Season – how wrong can anybody be!!!

Rumours’ have been running riot just recently on any subject under the sun, and it makes one wonder whether or not some members of the Federation have an inbuilt desire to cause problems, even where none exist.

So, we’ll try once again to clarify matters.

The last OB race for this Season will be flown tomorrow from Cheltenham. The reason for changing days was twofold. One because we were let down by the replacement convoyer that Geoff Silvester had organized for this race due to him being committed to drive for the MNFC. Secondly, the weather forecast was certainly doubtful for a Saturday race. The convoyer for this race will be Martyn Brammer.

Salaries of various Officials of the Fed are being bandied about and are completely wrong. Just wait till you see the Balance Sheet for the year and you will see how wrong the rumour mongers are!

Now we come to the subject of the convoyer for the YB Season.

We were warned at the beginning of the year that Geoff Silvester may not be able to carry out this role during the YB Season so we have cancelled his appointment and made other arrangements.

From next week onwards the convoyer duties will be shared by Ian Ball and Brent Brammer.

With final arrangements as to who takes each race to be made next week.
